Abstract

Research on the marketing strategy of Best Western Kindai
Hotel in an effort to increase room occupancy rates and be
able to compete among equivalent star hotels. One of the
strategies used by Best Western Kindai Hotel is by way of
promotion. The promotion can be in the form of advertising or
by providing special prices for travel agents. This type of
qualitative research was conducted at the Best Western Kindai
Hotel Banjarmasin with primary data, namely interviews with
informants related to promotions, namely the Sales and
Marketing section of Best Western Kindai Hotel Banjarmasin.
In terms of product sales, the strategy used to increase sales is
by having a great strategy, dedicated employees, good
information systems and good implementation. The form of
promotion that gets the most attention from consumers is
promotion through word of mouth (word of mouth). Therefore,
promotion through word of mouth (word of mouth) is the best
form of promotion to attract the attention of visitors.
